Doing it with us, not for us

“Doing it with us, not for us” is a Victorian Government initiative that grew from a commitment to involve people in decision making about health care services.

Participation occurs when consumers, carers and community members are meaningfully involved in decision making about health policy and planning, care and treatment and the wellbeing of themselves and the community.

Cobram District Health has developed a consumer participation strategy with the aim of involving consumers and the community more broadly in the organisation. Consumers are invited to be listed on the Consumer Participation register and participate in activities as they arise. Projects include; document review, surveys, service reviews, planning & development and focus groups.

Consumers can register their interest by calling (03) 5871 0777.
